Tommy Askin GB Tourist

In April 2025, the club received a very special visit from Tommy’s family, four generations of his family, headed by his daughter June Barrow. She brought with her a wonderful display case of memorabilia from Tommy’s playing days, including caps and medals that he had won. The club installed this display in a place of honour at the stadium’s reception at a pre-match ceremony. She received in turn from the club a Featherstone Rovers shirt signed by the current squad.

Originally from Knottingley, but having travelled the world during her professional life, June is now based in Lothersdale, North Yorkshire. This donation by her and her family, inspired by the lifelong affection her father had for Featherstone Rovers, continues a long and proud tradition of remembering the contributions of past players stretching back now over 100 years.
