FEATHERSTONE’S FEAT

Featherstone Rovers won at Wigan Highfield through taking the chances that were offered them. It was only a one-point victory, yet considering that they played with only twelve men all through the second half, they fully deserved it.

Highfield had the advantage of a strong breeze in the first half, and they scored all their points before the interval. Langham opened the scoring after dribbling from his own twenty-five, Spencer kicking the goal, and one from a penalty. Featherstone’s points were scored by McGlone and Gill, J.Denton kicking one goal.  McGlone gave an excellent display at scrum half for the Rovers.
