BRAMLEY TURN THE TABLES

A most singular game was seen the Barley Mow ground. Featherstone Rovers had all the best of the game in the first half but failed to score. Their forwards controlled the ball better than Bramley and the half-backs supplied the three-quarters very cleverly.  Their exhibitions of passing were surprising as they were unexpected by the Bramley spectators, and repeatedly carried play to the Bramley line. Their vital fault, however, was lack of finish.

One of Bramley’s rare incursions into the Featherstone half in this part of the game provided a score after fine play by Rigby, Gadsby, and Edmondson.

In the second half Bramley had all the advantage. They were pressing for nine-tenths of the time. Marshall, Gadsby, Batten, and Townsend dribbled over the line in turn but lost the ball. Edmondson, however, was the only player to score and this was the outcome of passing bout in which Batten and Hodgson took part.
