Featherstone stormed to a convincing victory over Barrow to consolidate their position at the top of the Championship. The eleven-try show was Rovers’ was their 19^th consecutive league win in a run stretching back to the 2022 Summer Bash against Leigh, and was achieved in some style. Ten different players crossed for tries and Craig Hall landed an impressive ten conversions from eleven.

After early enterprise and resistance from Barrow, the recalled Hall stepped over for the opening score, quickly followed by Luke Briscoe adding the finishing touches to the club’s historic 12,000^th try. The pattern was set for the afternoon and rarely interrupted. Before half-time Caleb Aekins, Gareth Gale with his 19^th of the season and, on the stroke of half-time, the rampaging McKenzie Yei all added further tries to leave Rovers 30-0 up at the break.

It was Barrow who opened the second-half scoring with Broadbent grabbing what was to be their only score. Rovers responded with four tries in ten minutes, scoring at will, with Chris Hankinson strolling onto Jono Ford’s pass the first of them. A delighted Arama Hau marked his home debut with his first ever try, then Jack Bussey got a reward for his hard graft all afternoon. Connor Jones took Rovers past 50 points with his 50^th try for the club. Late on, Thomas Lacans scored what has become his trademark try, stepping over from close range, before Jones followed Hankinson’s kick through to score after the final hooter.
