With only six regular forwards available for the easter holiday games in the 1931/32 season Rovers signed the appropriately named Alexander Easter from the Eastmoor club as cover. He was a 20 year old second row forward and went almost immediately into the first team. His performances saw him established as a first team regular for the rest of the season and the whole of the following 32/33 season.
