Featherstone Rovers paid Hunslet £600 for the services of Colin Taylor at the beginning of 1965/6. Having lost Terry Ramshaw and Terry Clawson from the back-row, the club obviously thought that something had to be done, and Taylor did his best over a couple of seasons as a stop-gap. Within a year, a formidable ‘home-grown’ combination of Arnie Morgan and Jimmy Thompson had the second-row spots locked up for Rovers.
