After fifteen seasons and almost 350 games in Super League at Bradford, Huddersfield, Salford and Wakefield, Craig Kopczak came to Featherstone Rovers in 2021 to add size and experience to a formidable pack that also included ex-Super League players Brett Ferres and Junior Moors. Throughout a very successful season, Kopczak led from the front, and Rovers powered past the majority of their Championship opponents, winning 20 of 21 games on the way to the Grand final. Kopczak scored a try and picked up a winner’s medal in the 1895 Cup final at Wembley. The following season his usual contribution of hard work through the middle was interrupted by chronic injuries which had accumulated throughout his career, which kept him out for chunks of the year and limited him to 14 games, including the 1895 Cup final v Leigh. It was credit to his dedication that he continued to push himself physically, and he was always a commanding presence on the field. Towards the end of the season, he notched up his 400th career appearance. In 2023, he managed 15 of Rovers' 29 fixtures, but was left out towards the end of that unsuccessful campaign. Aged 38, he then moved to Oldham for the 2024 season after more than 50 games for Rovers, highly appreciated for his efforts over three seasons.

A Welsh international, he represented his heritage nation 22 times, including at the 2013 and 2017 World Cups.
