Dean Parata joined Featherstone Rovers from Toulouse for 2020, having previously played for Barrow. Australian by birth, he won international honours for Italy through his heritage, playing in the 2017 World Cup. Having debuted for Rovers in the truncated 2020 season, Parata’s form won him a regular first team slot in the highly successful 2021 season.

Noted for his pacey scoots from acting halfback, he was used from the interchange bench by coach James Webster, rotating with starting hooker Connor Jones. His pace and backing up brought Parata 12 tries in 2021, including four in a match at Dewsbury. He missed the 1895 Cup final with Covid, but played off the bench in the Grand final against Toulouse. At the end of the season he moved to London Broncos.
