Doncaster based prop Gavin Morgan spent five seasons with his hometown team before coming to Featherstone for the 2001 season. His size and strength were used mainly in shorts spells to run hard at tiring defences. He did this with such success that he ended his debut season with 11 tries, an excellent return for a front-rower off the bench. At the end of the 2002 season with some injury issues, he was not offered a new contract.
