Loose forward Greg Nicholson came through the junior ranks at Featherstone to press for a first team place under coach David Hobbs. He made his debut in a difficult relegation season, but caught the eye with his work-rate and enthusiasm. In the 2006 season he was used largely off the bench, but a clear-out at the end of that unsuccessful campaign in National League Two led Greg to join Keighley, a club he served well for five seasons.
