Stand-off Martin Shaw broke into the Rovers first team at the beginning of the 2002 season. He was a former Leeds junior, playing in the same U19s team as Danny McGuire. Either off the bench, or partnering Jamie Rooney in the halves, he was a first team fixture for four months. When Andy Bastow got the nod at stand-off, Shaw’s first team run came to an end.
