Promising young Warrington half-back Riley Dean spent the first four years of his professional career loaned out to various clubs, including York, Dewsbury and Newcastle, as well as nine appearances for his parent club. He was loaned to Featherstone Rovers for the duration of the 2023 in the hope of more consistent game time to help his development. His season began well but, just as he was settling into his role, his progress was disrupted when he was unfortunately recalled by his parent club. Although he returned to Featherstone for another match, it was to be his last and Rovers had to look elsewhere for their half-back options.
