Bulky prop Sean "Paddy" Hesketh joined Featherstone Rovers from Doncaster as a youngster, adding weight to a mobile Rovers back. Useful in short bursts off the bench, Hesketh did a decent job in our front row, helping the club to consolidate its Championship status after promotion. New coach Daryl Powell allowed him to leave in the 2009 season and he went on to play for a whole range of Championship and League 1 clubs, notably Batley and Keighley. An Irish international, he won a number of International caps following his debut in 2010.
