Back-row forward Adam Hayes started his professional career at Huddersfield Giants, but his career did not take off until he signed for Featherstone Rovers. A willing runner and good tackler, Hayes was a useful member of the Rovers pack, never letting his side down. When Rovers were relegated in 2005, Hayes received offers to stay in the Championship, and he signed for Halifax, later playing for Sheffield and Dewsbury.
