Young Alec Fisher’s only game for Featherstone Rovers came in a very plucky performance against a star-studded Wigan team in the middle of an injury crisis. Signed from Featherstone Juniors and trialling with the A team, Fisher was thrown straight in, alongside a number of other youngsters. He “did good work and did not let his side down”.
