Andy Kirk began his professional career with his hometown club Leeds Rhinos without ever cementing a first team place. Following spells at Salford, Wakefield, Halifax, and Widnes, he joined Featherstone in 2008 and quickly settled down to life at Featherstone. The newly promoted Rovers had a season of consolidation, to which Kirk’s 11 tries was a useful contribution. Under Daryl Powell in 2009, he offered defensive solidity and a touch of pace. After playing 50 games for Featherstone he retired from RL at the end of 2009 to dedicate himself to his sports therapy business.
