In the midst of an injury crisis, and with the team really struggling, young prop Arthur Glover from the Castleford area was signed on. He was drafted straight into the Featherstone first team to make his debut in a tough away trip to St Helens Recreation where Rovers failed to register a single point. In a hard match against Hull KR later in December Glover came off injured but later had to go back on as injuries mounted including Ray Hamer having his jaw broken. Rovers ended with just 11 players. 

Glover played a total of 11 games as Rovers finished bottom of the league that season.
