Ase Boas was part of a three man package of Papua New Guinea internationals brought over by Featherstone for the 2019 season. Born at Simbu, Ase had represented his country at the 2013 and 2017 World Cups and had Queensland Cup experience with the PNG Hunters. Principally a stand-off, but also able to operate at hooker, Ase struggled to settle, managing just five matches at the start of the year before being released from his contract and returning home.
