Barry Drummond was a local amateur winger who was signed by Peter Fox for his eye-catching pace. He immediately received a first team run out and showed enough promise to hold his place for three months. He represented Rovers in the 1989 Yorkshire Cup final. After losing his spot, he played for Dewsbury and then Thornhill Trojans.
