Australian prop Ben Mathiou came over to the UK on an Irish passport to try his luck with Featherstone Rovers. After working his way up to full fitness, he played a single game on Easter Monday at Bradford off the bench. He spent the rest of the season on loan at Dewsbury and Doncaster. He represented Ireland at the 2022 World Cup, without playing a game.
