Australian centre Brendan O’Meara had eight seasons of ARL/NRL experience behind him when he came to England. Born in Wollongong, he played for Illawarra and Souths before joining Dewsbury in 1999. After two seasons there, and two at Rochdale, he finished his career with a season at Featherstone. Not the fastest player, he was a strong pair of hands at centre and gave good service to his winger Jamie Stokes.
