Son of Featherstone legend Cyril, Brian Kellett was a useful full-back at the successful Jubilee ARLFC side where he played in their famous BARLA Cup final win over West Hull in 1985 before turning professional for Featherstone Rovers. He served the A team well, and had his first team appearances limited by the emergence of Chris Bibb. He later had spells with new clubs at Mansfield and Nottingham before turning to coaching. He was Rovers reserve team coach for a number of years, as well as assistant first team coach to David Hobbs from  2005 to 2008.
