Brian Quarmby was a full back who joined the club as a 23 year old in January 1960 from a local junior age team.  His senior debut was at Workington on 2 May 1960 and his only other senior appearance was at stand-off in the 1962/63 season.  He was part of the Rovers' Yorkshire Senior Competition championship winning squad in 1961/62.
