Pontefract born Callum McLelland grabbed the headlines at 18 years old when he left Castleford to join the Scotland Rugby Union junior development programme. That move didn’t work out, and Callum came back to League and Leeds Rhinos. He came to Featherstone in the middle of the 2019 season on the Dual Registration system and immediately slotted into a productive partnership with Dane Chisholm. A good organiser with an excellent kicking game, he developed noticeably with each game he played at Featherstone.
