Biography
A team half-back Chris Simons was understudy to Dale Fennell and a fixture backlog which forced Rovers to play games on consecutive days at St.Helens then Widnes one weekend led to wholesale changes. Simons came in for his one and only first team game at Naughton Park as Rovers were understandably well beaten.
