After county honours at schoolboy level, Clive Tennant, son of former Rovers great Walt, signed for his hometown team in 1974. Part of the Yorkshire Senior Competition Cup winning side of 1975, he played five games on the wing for the first team in the 1977/78 season. After leaving the professional game, he played locally at amateur level, notably playing for “All Three” big local sides, the Miners’ Welfare, Jubilee and Travellers Saints.  Clive Tennant later became a town councillor for Featherstone and has been Chairman of Featherstone Lions for over 20 years.
