Young Hull KR centre Connor Barley initially played eight games for Featherstone during the 2024 season on the Dual Registration system. He stepped in ably when Josh Hardcastle was out injured, but was exposed when selected on the wing in a defeat at Swinton. The following year, with the club hit by injuries, Barley returned on the same weekly loan basis for a further two matches in March 2025, scoring a try against Bradford. Towards the end of the season, he was released by Hull KR and joined Rovers with a contract for 2026. He played and scored against Bradford again in the final league game of the campaign, but was made a free agent when his contract was cancelled in the off-season due to financial problems at the club. He joined Goole Vikings for 2026.
