Connor Farrell followed his older brother Liam and signed for his hometown team Wigan as a teenager. A mobile, straight-running second-rower with an eye for a gap, Farrell found it difficult to make the grade at Wigan and moved to a variety of clubs on loan in search of first team rugby. After spells at Workington, Widnes and Swinton he played out the 2017 season at Featherstone, doing enough to win himself a 2018 contract. He enjoyed a consistent season in 2018, but moved to Bradford for the following season.
