Featherstone Rovers signed Conor Carey from Queensland Cup side Eastern Suburbs Tigers and he slotted into the Rovers team that season covering both wing and centre position. A tidy season which yielded ten tries ended on a disappointing note when an injury ruled him out of the Grand Final v Toronto. The following year was cut short by the Covid pandemic and Carey returned to Australia.
