A native of Newcastle NSW, Craig Bower came over from Australia from the Wyong Roos club to have a trial at Barrow, where he made a name for himself at full-back. He then came to Featherstone in 2007 under David Hobbs on a trial, and played a handful of games. After finishing playing he turned to fitness and conditioning at a number of different clubs.
