Dale Cardoza, a big, strong running centre, started out at Sheffield, and then moved Huddersfield after their 'merger'. He made such a name for himself that he landed a big move to Warrington. That didn't work out, and Cardoza dropped down a league to sign for Leigh, from where he came to Featherstone for a brief two match loan spell in 2004. After playing at Doncaster, he signed for Featherstone for the 2006 season, with Rovers now in the third tier for the first time in their history. An undoubtedly talented player, he never hit the heights predicted for him, and played out his career at Batley.
