Danny Craven signed for his hometown team Widnes in 2010 and soon attracted plaudits for his eye-catching displays at halfback. As he failed to nail down a first team spot there, he had various short-term loan spells out before coming to Featherstone on a season long loan in 2016. He was used at both full-back and half-back. Whilst undoubtedly talented, he never quite convinced in either position. On his return to Widnes, he found his true form.
