The son of former Rovers hooker Colin, Danny Maskill originally signed as a teenager for Wakefield, but he came to Featherstone after a three year spell in Australian club rugby. He was used essentially as the back up hooker to Keal Carlile in 2018 and Cameron King 2019, and as such he suffered from the lack of a reserve team at Featherstone at that time. Despite this, he played some 20 games, and let no-one down when called upon. He had a loan spell at York in 2018.
