Half-back Danny Patrickson was one of a number of players who came through in a good crop of Academy players in 2002, many of whom got a first team chance. Danny’s debut came at the start of the 2003 season off the bench, but it was Academy team-mate Richard Whiting who claimed the number six shirt that season. Patrickson’s one start of the year towards the end of the season ended in a disappointing loss at Batley. He received a couple of call ups in 2004, but drifted out of the professional game.
