Stanley Rangers product Danny Stanley couldn’t have picked a worse match for his Rovers debut. A battered Rovers team without a head coach were slaughtered 78-10 at home by Hull KR. Josh Weedon suffered a horrific broken leg, various other players including Liam Finn and Jason Southwell retired hurt, and Stanley bravely came on to do his best. It was his only first team game. He later played a couple of seasons at Doncaster.
