Originally from Castleford, Dominic Maloney made his name at Dewsbury before signing for Hull, then Halifax. He came to Featherstone for the 2012 season, a solidly built prop forward. Used almost exclusively off the bench, he provided consistent go-forward to a team that won the League Leaders’ Shield and made its third successive grand final. He quit rugby to join the Army at the end of the season, although he did later play for Hemel Stags.
