Tongan born winger Etuate Uaisele had excellent credentials when he signed for Featherstone for the 2014 season. With four years’ experience in the NRL at Parramatta and Penrith, he had also represented his country at the 2008 World Cup. Rovers had picked him up from NSW Cup side Wyong Roos, and expectations of his impact were high on his arrival. Big and strong, he scored seven tries in his 10 games, including a hatrick against Rochdale. However, a niggling injury and with very little time to adapt to unfamiliar conditions, his signing proved to be a disappointment. He was loaned out to Sheffield for the rest of the season, and then signed for Bradford.
