Frank Moore had a long and illustrious career which started and finished at Wakefield Trinity. He first signed for Wakefield from Wheldale junior side in 1944.  His career took him to many clubs. From Wakefield he moved to Leigh, Batley, Hull KR, York and then transferred to Featherstone in August 1958 for £300 at the age of 33.  When he went back to Wakefield for £200 two seasons later, the club considered they had excellent value from his time at Rovers. A solid member of the pack, he was always ready to pass on advice to youngsters, and he gave fans much to cheer with is intelligent forward play, being renowned for his strong bulldozing dashes. A total of 61 appearances and 10 tries in two seasons for a player of his age was an impressive return. He missed out on the 1959 Yorkshire Cup win but was part of the Rovers side that defeated Australia 23-15 at Post Office Road on 11 November 1959.
