Former Leeds junior Gareth Moore had an unenviable task on arriving at Featherstone Rovers from Batley. New coach john Bastian signed Moore to replace Liam Finn in a very successful Rovers team. Within weeks of the start of the season, Bastain was gone, and Moore started to work with new coach Andy Hay. Working  with Kyle Briggs and Andy Kain, Moore found his feet and helped Rovers to the Grand final. He also kicked 91 goals. The following season it was all change again, Moore that season partnering Paul Sykes then Paul Cooke at half-back. When Rovers failed to make the Qualifying Eights after a disappointing campaign, Hay lost his job. At the end of 2015 a number of players were moved on, including Moore, who went to Halifax.
