Ged Ward was signed from Hunslet but played almost exclusively A team rugby at Featherstone. He was called up for a single first team game in Rovers’ Second Division Championship winning year of 1980. It was the penultimate game of the year, a convincing win at Keighley, the only game Ken Kellett missed all season.
