23 year old centre George Hutchinson joined Rovers from Dewsbury in November 1965 as part of an exchange deal for Vic Rawes.  Standing 6 foot tall, he had played at Dewsbury for five years, after joining them from the Shawcross amateur club.  His stay at Rovers was brief, scoring a solitary try in a total of seven appearances.
