Born and raised on Station Lane, Gordon Graham made his professional debut for Doncaster in the early days of that fledgling club. With both Willis Fawley and his deputy Bill Bradshaw unavailable, Gordon Graham stepped in for a single game in the Featherstone front-row. Rovers lost a midweek fixture against Wakefield, and by the weekend Fawley was fit again. A couple of years later, he later played a single game for Castleford, where his brother Peter played for the A team and kept the Ship Inn. Gordon married Ken Welburn’s sister, but passed away in 1975 aged just 38.
