Hull KR centre Greg Ballentyne came on a month's loan to Featherstone in 1970/71 with a view to a permanent signing, but went back to Craven Park at the end of his spell.  He was a scot who had signed for Hull KR from Hawick, he had a reputation as a speedster having been "well known on the local sprint tracks" before he signed.
