After a long career in the top flight, principally at Castleford, winger Greg Eden dropped down into the Championship in 2024 to play for Halifax. Mid-season he switched to Featherstone Rovers and made his debut in June against Swinton in the unlikely position of halfback. He then filled in on the wing before settling at fullback in the absence of Caleb Aekins. Although he no longer had the pace that had brought him over 150 career tries and a stint in the NRL, his experience and versatility proved useful at times. At the end of the year he moved to Hunslet.
