Hooker Harry Bowes joined Featherstone Rovers from neighbours Wakefield Trinity in 2024 as part of a rejuvenation of Rovers’ pack following numerous departures at the end of 2023. Bowes quickly established himself as a first team regular, sharing the acting halfback duties with Connor Jones. He was also called on to deputise as emergency half-back on numerous occasions throughout the year. In both positions he offered solid defence, and good distribution. Hampered by a hip injury, he appeared in just two of the last eight fixtures and was released to join Keighley at the end of the season.
