A product of the Leeds academy, James Barraclough made a single appearance for Featherstone alongside three of his Leeds team-mates in the 2018 Championship Shield Final.  They played under a special dispensation loan agreement that allowed Rovers, who were suffering from an end of season injury crisis, to field 17 players. He was the grandson of 1950s forward Maurice Ogden.
