Jason Crookes hails from Huddersfield and played his junior rugby at Newsome Panthers, but signed for Bradford Bulls as a teenager, where he spent six years. After a couple of loan spells out, he then spent two years at Hull before seeing out his contract there on loan at Featherstone. A bulky three-quarter, Jason’s size always made him a handful for opposition defences. His try scoring ratio of 14 tries in 15 games is testament to his attacking prowess. He then took the permanent step down to Championship level, offering good service to Dewsbury, Batley and Sheffield.
