After a stop/start beginning to his career at Salford, Jason Walton made a name for himself as a powerfully built centre at Batley. He did enough there to head back to Salford for a second go at Super League, and then he had a year at Wakefield. He signed for Bradford for 2017, but when they went bust, Featherstone stepped in with an offer. Walton made an immediate impact, despite competition for a place from Chris Ulugia, Misi Taulapapa and Joh Hardcastle. A knee injury finished his season in July and continued to hamper his progress throughout 2018 when he managed just nine games. After a full season of recuperation he joined Dewsbury in 2020.
