Samoan international second-rower Jesse Sene-Lefao was one of a number of experienced forwards signed to bolster the Featherstone pack at the start of the 2022 season. After five seaons at Castleford, Sene-Lefao had begun to be troubled by a number of injuries, and the wear and tear on his body hampered his contributions to Rovers' promotion push, being available for just under half the year's games. Off the field, Jesse was always a popular figure, gregarious and approachable. He finally found some good form towards the end of the year and won a second-row spot for the playoffs, before moving on to Sheffield Eagles for the 2023 season.
