Jim Stephenson made his debut two weeks before his brother Peter. A bigger build and a strong tackler marked him out as a useful second-row forward, rather than a winger like his sibling. In Jim’s second match on the 30^th of November the brothers played together for the first time. Whereas Peter found it difficult to hold down a first team spot, Jim played fairly regularly in the pack over the next three seasons, clocking up over 50 first team games.
